Take a Design Tour of Magis with Architectours.it
It is here at ‘Magis World’, you will get a behind-the-scenes look at some of the company’s most distinctive and most recognized products
Located in Torre di Mosto near Venice, Magis’ headquarters is a composition of two buildings: the first, measures 15,000 square meters and houses the logistics and assembly departments; while the second, measures 3,500 square meters, and is made to function as offices and a showroom. Square in its plan, the buildings’ formation creates an inner courtyard that all of the internal spaces look out onto.
It is here at ‘Magis World’, where true partnerships are formed between the company and the designers it works with. Together they pedal in tandem, in perfect synchrony and symbiosis, approaching projects with an experimental and exploratory mindset. Pushing creative boundaries towards developing something that is unique and thoughtful in form, material and aesthetic, the diversity of each Magis product is a reflection of the designers themselves — a true expression of their artistry, while still encompassing all of the brand’s design values and philosophies.

, it will be become clear that the lush green backdrop of the site, in contrast with the stark white buildings, offer an ideal stage in which to showcase some of Magis’ most colourfully iconic works. Here, you will get a behind-the-scenes look at some of the company’s most distinctive and most recognized products such as the ‘Bombo Stool’ by Stefano Giovannoni that is one of, if not the most copied piece of furniture in the history of design; and of course Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec’s ‘Steelwood Chair’ that has been awarded the ADI Compasso d’Oro. You will be given the opportunity to see the variety of functional and visually stimulating design pieces that comprise Magis’ portfolio of work, not only in its showroom, but scattered throughout the HQ, displaying how they can be integrated into different spatial programs.
Realized by the likes of Jasper Morrison to Philippe Starck to Naoto Fukasawa to Konstantin Grcic, each design exhibits Magis’ commitment to traditional craftsmanship towards maintaining its cultural roots and dedication to the notion of ‘100% Made In Italy’ — a showcase of its creative and technical innovation. We will take you through the offices and logistics departments to give you the full scope of how a product comes to life. And, you will go into the manufacturing and assembly quarters to witness Magis craftsmen ensuring that each piece of furniture is fabricated and finished with the highest quality.
Since its beginnings, Magis has worked with the notion that quality is not an abstract concept, but rather a tangible value that permeates all aspects of the company and its products. Through evolving styles and industrial developments, Magis continues to bring forth a vision that stems from the delicate balance between reality and utopia, where things should be grand, but not unrealistic. Magis projects a way of thinking, and offers a place where one is given the courage to dare. A tour at Magis will make you realize why it is such a sought after furniture brand.
